Len Mazur

Managing Partner, Founder

Mr. Mazur has served as Managing Partner since 2010. Previously, he oversaw trading and risk technology for Reservoir Capital for four years- a $4.5 Billion hybrid private equity, hedge fund, and fund seeding platform. He built out Reservoir’s Dallas trading and risk department from scratch which serviced several multi-strategy hedge funds’ trading operations. The team was processing transactions across 18 currencies and 11 asset classes for the core hedge fund as well as two seed funds which grew to over $1B in assets. He was responsible for deploying and integrating various foundational systems, and he developed a proprietary risk reporting framework within the firm. He also developed trading screen applications used in executing a $30MM quantitative trading strategy. Mr. Mazur also provided CIO technology advisory and implementation/development services to seeded funds at various stages of maturity.

Prior to his role at Reservoir, Mr. Mazur was the Vice President of Technology/Operations at Laurel Ridge in New York City. A volatility arbitrage fund, where he lead the development team in developing the firm’s proprietary systems. He was also a business analyst at Deutsche Bank’s global equity team. Prior to that, he worked in various technology roles for E-commerce and the Aerospace industry where he developed software simulators for Lockheed Martin to test their GPS flight navigational systems.

Mr. Mazur holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Maryland Honors Program. He is also an investor with interests in analytics technologies, real estate, and blockchain applications focused on under-served niches. He is a mentor for One Heart where he provides mentorship and computer training to youth reentering society from the juvenile justice system to allow them the greatest opportunity to succeed. In his free time, he enjoys playing soccer, reading historical nonfiction, and spending time with his wife and two children.

Krys Ziemski

Principal

A senior technologist with a proven track record, deep relationships within the vendor space, with a strong knowledge set in current technology and software programming, Mr. Ziemski has applied his skills to problems faced within the financial industry. As CTO of Galle Global Macro Partners, a +400mm liquid discretionary macro fund, he oversaw its creation with such tasks with fund administrator evaluation, site selection and general contractor for the office, deployment of technology/market data vendors. With the fund operational in 2 weeks, he focused on bringing a high level of automation by integrating trade processing/OTC workflow systems such as Traiana’s Harmony, as well as, MarkitServ’s Markitwire and DSMatch (DerivServ) to the fund’s counterparties, its fund administrator HedgeServ and prime brokers/FCM. In front office development, he developed on SunGard’s FrontArena portfolio management system, created a time series database, reporting frameworks, excel addins and proprietary .NET applications.

Prior to Galle, he consulted for Diamondback Capital and Duff Capital working on risk reporting and trading systems such as Calypso and FrontArena. Prior to consulting, he worked at Fortress Investment Group in the Drawbridge Global Macro Fund helping onboard new portfolio managers replacing technology lost in transition as well as a resource for the top portfolio manager.

Mr. Ziemski first started in the alternative asset management space at Laurel Ridge Asset Management at $500MM Relative Value fund as Vice President of Technology. He helped launch the fund and architected a sophisticated Portfolio Management System for the fund.

Joseph D. O’Brien III

President and Chief Executive Officer at A.G. Hill Partners

Mr. O’Brien has served as the Chief Executive Officer of A.G. Hill Partners – a Hunt family office- since its inception in 2016. Previously, he was the Chief Operating Officer of Highside Capital Management, L.P. from 2007 to 2013. Highside was a global equity long/short hedge fund with peak assets in excess of $4 billion. Prior to Highside, he was the Founder and Portfolio Manager of the long/short equity hedge fund Rider Investments, a Portfolio Manager and Partner at the private equity firm Petra Capital Partners, a Vice President in prime brokerage and investment management at Goldman, Sachs & Co., and an investment banking associate with The Robinson-Humphrey Company, Inc. Mr. O’Brien has a B.S. in Commerce from the University of Virginia (’86) and an MBA from Harvard Business School (’92). Mr. O’Brien served on the Board of Directors and Founders’ Council of the Managed Funds Association. He currently serves on the Board and is past Co-Chairman of Capital for Kids.

Ben Chatraw

Founding Partner of North Avenue Investments

Ben Chatraw is a founding partner of North Avenue Investments and responsible for driving the overall vision and strategy of North Avenue Investments. A serial entrepreneur, Ben has founded multiple companies and non-profit organizations. Prior to launching North Avenue Investments, Ben worked at a Dallas based hedge fund focused on small cap investments which he co-founded and ran from 2006 to 2012. Ben specializes in entrepreneurialism, operations, strategy, and deal structuring. He completed his undergraduate degree with highest honors from Georgia Tech and holds a MBA from Harvard Business School where he graduated with distinction.
